Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine

Douglas J. Conrad, M.D.

Professor of Clinical Medicine

Director, Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic

Director, Pulmonary Function Laboratory, VA Medical Center

CLINICAL INTERESTS:

  1. Diseases of the airways
  2. Asthma
  3. Cystic Fibrosis
  4. Diffuse bronchiecstasis

INVESTIGATIVE INTERESTS:

Response of airway epithelium to various stimuli particularly involved with inflammation. Focus specifically on the regulations of protein expression of CFTR and the lipid per oxidating enzyme 15-lipoxygenase is under investigation using transgenic mouse models of asthma and pseudomanias aeruginosa pneumonia
