Admission Overview

We will be accepting applications for academic year 2027-2028 starting on July 1, 2026.

The program accepts one fellow each year and uses the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). 

The Match

Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) in Interventioanl Pulmonology. Our program reference number is 1049P49S0

Application Submission

We encourage all prospective applicants to stay informed about evolving requirements and deadlines for the fellowship application process.

Only applications completed and submitted through ERAS will be reviewed.

To be considered for a fellowship position, the applicant is expected to:

• Completion of three-year Internal Medicine Residency Program, accredited by ACGME
• Completion of a three-yera Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship, accredited by ACGME
• Be eligible to practice in California
• U.S. citizens, permanent residents or holders of J-1 visas (No other visas are sponsored)

To be considered for a fellowship position, your application must include:

• Completed ERAS application
• Curriculum vitae
• Minimum of 3 letters of recommendation. One letter must be from the applicant's most recent training program director (fellowship).
• Personal Statement
• Procedure log (a summary of procedures is preferred). - lease include wth your personal statement 
• USMLE Scores

Interviews

All interviews will be held virtually for the interventional pulmonology fellowship application cycle. Interview invitations are offered on a rolling basis during the application process. The interview day will consist of virtual visit with a program overview, interviews, and an opportunity to meet with faculty in the program. Interviews will be conducted in September.
